Professional Development Consultant
Frog Street Press is a leader in quality early education programming and professional development. One of our cornerstones is to foster the continual professional learning of early childhood educators. In our quest to deliver purposeful, appropriate professional learning, we are looking to add a Professional Development/Training Consultant to the team.
The primary job responsibilities of the Professional Development Consultant are to create and lead professional learning trainings and to provide support to customers and early childhood educators wishing to ascribe to high quality environments / world class standards.
The consulting assignments will be throughout the United States with potential to travel to other countries. Up to 75% travel on an annualized basis, is possible depending on the assignment workload. Consultant may travel to several locations in a week period. When not traveling on an assignment, the consultant may work from home.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, manage, and conduct trainings for customers who have purchased product.
- Develop and implement educational best practices and emerging content as it relates to training.
- Expand the professional development portfolio by developing new professional learning offerings.
- Work with sales team to build a PL pipeline and generate revenue through professional learning via
- Creating specialized sessions, you or others can facilitate
- Conduct sales presentations (as needed).
- Provide support to the sales team (as needed).
- Assist in developing an annual plan for growing Frog Street’s Professional Learning Program.
- Research and develop webinar trainings, techniques, procedures, and usability.
- Represent Frog Street by submitting presentations to conferences and assisting in booth when assigned.
- Enhance your professional development facilitation skills thru the attendance of one annual conference/event
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education; Early Childhood Education Degree preferred
- 5 + years of experience in early childhood education
- Knowledge and usage of Frog Street’s products a plus
- Knowledge of brain research (adults and children) a plus
- 5+ years facilitating and presenting educational content
- Familiarity with educational best practices and coaching
- Knowledge of NAEYC standards and best practices
- CLASS certification a plus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, not only in the possible development of content, but also presenting onsite and virtually
- Proficient using Zoom, Teams and other online platforms is required

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods, potentially up to 6-8 hours. Please note that a full day of training lasts approximately 6+ hours and includes activities such as setting up and tearing down for presentations. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
